When the May exhibit, “Color   Concept,” closes on Sunday, May 27, the Southern Shore Art Association will initiate its first “Last Sunday”, an informal and informative social event with a short presentation, refreshments and a raffle.

Judy Jacobi from Purdue  University North Central (PNC) will give a presentation on the many
sculptures  adorning their campus grounds and on the substantial endowment of sculptures
by  George Sugarman.
Shoreline Brewery is donating beer, Lange’s Old Fashioned  Meat Market is donating brats and mustard. Cheers to both these wonderful  supporters!

Raffle tickets will be sold: $1 per ticket (or $5 for 6  tickets).  Winner will get a personal tour of PNC’s sculptures for themselves  and 3 guests by Judy Jacobi.

We are planning to make this a monthly “Last Sunday” event at the end of each exhibit.
Please join us to celebrate  this fun and informative event.

LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau

Get your work seen!  Dale Cooper of the LaPorte County Convention Bureau is placing original art work in the store-front windows in the Marquette Mall and has a window set aside for Southern Shore. She would like our members to bring a painting and an easel to the bureau and she will set the window up.  The display may change from time to time so we can feature the entire membership on a rotating basis. Dale's phone number is 872-5055 and her email is dale@laportecountycvb.com

Also, their headquarters in the mall has wonderful gallery space, so please check it out. There are new shows monthly from local artists. http://www.michigancitylaporte.com/static/index.cfm?contentID=16
