Melissa Washburn was raised in upstate New York, but relocated to the Midwest over 14 years ago. She is a painter and 2D mixed media artist with a BFA from Binghamton University and an MA in Arts Administration from IU Bloomington. Her career has taken her full circle from museum administration in Indianapolis, to graphic design, to concentrating on her own artwork again as well as teaching others. Recently her work has been shown at South Shore Arts in Munster, IN; Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, IL; and Lubeznik Center for the Arts in Michigan City, IN.
